Here’s what we’re doing this week to be higher allies in our group with Black, Indigenous and Folks of Color
Our disappointment and rage; your actions and data: we wish to decide to doing extra and higher. We’re enthusiastic within the range of our hiring, within the illustration on our web site, within the artists we collaborate with, in our customer support and within the methods Victoire allocates its sources. However we wish to look at Victoire, and ourselves, deeper to seek out new methods to be higher allies. That is what we will do NOW:
- We’re educating ourselves by discovering range in our information sources (Democracy Nowis a very long time favorite however we’d love a advice with a extra Canadian focus). - We’re committing to hunt out extra BIPOC designers so that you can assist at Victoire. We our dedicated to actively being anti-racist and acknowledge the white-privilege in our administration, group constructions and assist programs.
- We can be donating personally to every of those organizations: BAUcollective, BlackWomenInMotion, IdleNoMore, BlackLegalActionCenter, BlackLivesMatterToronto. As nicely, Victoire can be donating 20% of gross sales this week to those organizations.
- We’ll do higher at advocating for these round us by amplifying their voices by means of our social media.
